Peter Jackson to Direct New Tintin Movie!

Filmmaker Peter Jackson has announced his return to directing feature films, with plans for a sequel to Steven Spielberg's 2011 animated movie, "The Adventures of Tintin." Jackson revealed that he and his partner Fran Walsh have been writing the script for the next Tintin installment, fulfilling an earlier intention to switch directorial and producing roles with Spielberg.

This upcoming project marks Jackson's first feature film direction since the Hobbit trilogy concluded in 2014. He has since focused on documentaries, including "They Shall Not Grow Old" and "Get Back." The original "Tintin" film employed performance capture technology and starred Jamie Bell as the titular character.

Critics had mixed reactions to the original film's visual style, noting its technical innovation but also a perceived lack of emotional depth. The first movie, subtitled "The Secret of the Unicorn," hinted at franchise potential with its blend of adventure, fantasy, and comedy.
