Doherty & De Vidas: PDA at Luxembourg Film Fest

Rock musician Pete Doherty and his wife, filmmaker Katia de Vidas, were seen engaging in public displays of affection at the closing ceremony of the Luxembourg Film Festival on Saturday evening. Doherty, who is serving as a jury member for the 2026 festival, could not keep his hands off de Vidas. The couple, who married in September 2021 and have a two-year-old daughter, also share professional ties as de Vidas is the pianist for Doherty's band, The Puta Madres.

Doherty's appearance comes after a significant health scare earlier this year. He revealed in March that he was at risk of losing his toes due to Type 2 diabetes diagnosed last year. This situation served as a wake-up call, leading him to significantly reduce his alcohol consumption. He shared that his toes are now healing, and his blood sugar levels are well-managed.

Previously, Doherty had been candid about the toll of years of drug and alcohol abuse on his health, telling Louis Theroux in 2023 that he was a 'very sick man.' His recent recovery marks a positive turn, with him showcasing a noticeably trimmed physique at the festival, dressed in a pin-striped suit complemented by a leopard print scarf and hat.
