Mappa, the acclaimed animation studio celebrated for its work on Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, is set to animate all in-game cutscenes for the upcoming remake, Persona 4 Revival. This collaboration was announced at Anime Expo 2026, where a brief visual preview was shared.
This extensive animation project is only the second time Mappa has handled all cutscenes for a video game, following Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road in 2025. The studio's involvement ensures a high standard of visual quality for Persona 4 Revival.
Further details revealed at the panel include Abby Trott taking on the English voice role for Rise. She joins Nazeeh Tarsha as Yu Narukami, Paul Castro Jr. as Yosuke Hanamura, Anne Yatco as Chie Satonaka, and Brianna Knickerbocker as Yukiko Amagi.
Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
