Hasbro partnered with the National Deaf Children's Society to ensure an authentic representation of deafness.
Camilla Arnold, a deaf executive producer, consulted on the character's development. This initiative aims to increase representation for children, similar to previous diverse characters like Mandy Mouse and Penny Polar Bear. A new ASL content channel and a singing figurine with George's hearing aid are also being launched.
