Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke Overcome Miscarriages, Welcome Triplets

In the past few years, Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke have faced significant challenges in their marriage, but have emerged stronger than ever. The couple experienced two consecutive miscarriages prior to the births of their three children, a devastating experience that nearly led them to separate.

Badgley, 39, opened up about this difficult time, explaining that the pregnancy losses were a "real inflection point" for the couple, especially for Kirke, 41, who did not have any biological children at the time. "We did near a separation. And of course, we didn't give into the gravity of that, the sort of entropy of that," he said.

However, the couple persevered, and in August 2020, they welcomed their first child together, a son. Earlier this year, they became parents to twin boys as well. Kirke also has an older son, Cassius, 16, from a previous relationship.

Badgley has written about the miscarriages in his essay collection, describing the experience as "dreadful" and admitting that he now feels "like I'm drowning in children" after the recent births. Kirke had also previously opened up about the losses, saying they were ready to "call it" before conceiving their firstborn.
