Confusion surrounding the release date of the upcoming sports action drama 'Peddi,' starring Ram Charan, has been resolved. Initially, a video featuring filmmaker SKN suggested a new release date of June 26, 2026, causing considerable fan uncertainty. SKN has since clarified that this was due to a miscommunication at a public event.
SKN explained that attendees were repeatedly asking about the release of 'Chennai Love Story.' Co-producer Sai Rajesh mentioned seeing tweets about a potential new date for 'Peddi' and advised SKN not to announce their film's date. However, amidst crowd noise, SKN mistakenly announced June 26 as 'Peddi's' release date.
Sai Rajesh issued an apology, calling the incident a "blunder" from their side. He stated he told SKN not to announce 'Chennai Love Story's' date, but SKN misheard and announced 'Peddi's' supposed new date. The film was initially set for March 27, then moved to April 30, 2026, though rumors of further delays persist.
'Peddi' features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani.
