The film Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing ₹200 crore in worldwide box office collections, accumulating ₹233.02 crore gross. On its fourth day, the action drama garnered ₹31.9 crore in domestic earnings, with ₹27.5 crore specifically from Telugu screenings. International markets added ₹4 crore on the same day, bringing the total overseas gross to ₹46 crore.
Despite its commercial success, Peddi faced criticism regarding scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor. Director Buchi Babu Sana responded to the backlash, issuing a statement to address sentiments and apologize if any part of the film was perceived as objectifying. He assured audiences that changes would be made to the concerned portions in response to audience feedback and evolving sensitivities.
The ensemble cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Boman Irani, Divyenndu, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with co-production by Ishan Saksena for IVY Entertainment.
