Peanuts Gang Celebrates 75 Years with Free Streaming of Halloween Classic

This Halloween season, the Peanuts gang is celebrating a major milestone. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, one of the most beloved holiday TV specials, is marking its 75th anniversary. The classic animated short first premiered in 1966 and aired annually on CBS until 2000, when it moved to ABC.

In 2020, the rights to the Peanuts specials were obtained by Apple TV, making them exclusive to the streaming platform. This year, Apple has announced a five-year extension of their partnership, keeping the Peanuts content on their service through 2030.

To commemorate the 75th anniversary, Apple TV will be offering It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for free to stream on their platform for two days this weekend, October 18th and 19th. This will allow fans both new and old to enjoy the timeless adventures of the Peanuts gang as they prepare for Halloween.

The Peanuts specials, including It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, have long been considered "destination viewing" for families across America.
