Peacock has secured the rights to adapt Andrea Mara's latest bestselling novel, 'Such a Nice Girl.' The project will reunite the creative team behind the successful limited series 'All Her Fault.' Megan Gallagher, who spearheaded 'All Her Fault,' is attached to write and executive produce the new adaptation.
Carnival Films, part of Universal International Studios, will develop the series based on Mara's novel, which was published on April 28. This marks another collaboration between Peacock, Gallagher, and Carnival Films following their work on 'The Break-In.'
'Such a Nice Girl' centers on two mothers, Siobhan and Grace, who wake up to find their daughters' room in disarray after a wedding. As they investigate, they uncover a twisted truth about their daughters' relationship, leading to a potential murder mystery.
Gallagher expressed excitement about adapting the story, highlighting its twists and exploration of female friendship. Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant from Carnival Films will also serve as executive producers alongside Gallagher and Mara. The studio behind the project is Universal Studio Group.
