Paul Wesley Reveals Brittany Snow's First Kiss Was On-Screen

Actor Paul Wesley recently disclosed an intimate detail from his early career: his first on-screen kiss with actress Brittany Snow was, in fact, Snow's first kiss in real life. Wesley, 43, shared this revelation during an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast on July 22, 2026. He and Snow, 40, portrayed a couple on the soap opera "The Guiding Light" between 1998 and 2001, a period when Wesley was around 16 years old.

Wesley recounted that during the filming of their first kiss scene, he was unaware that Snow had never been kissed before. He described the experience as "sweet" and noted Snow's composure during the moment. It was only after the scene concluded that Snow's mother approached him to share the information, confirming that the on-camera kiss remained Snow's inaugural romantic encounter. This shared experience has contributed to their lasting friendship.

Looking back, Wesley characterized his time on "The Guiding Light" as a formative period, describing it as "the best time" of his life. He highlighted the environment of his late teens, which involved navigating a demanding soap opera schedule alongside social activities. The show provided him with invaluable training in working with cameras and developing a relaxed on-screen presence, serving as a crucial stepping stone in his acting career.

Brittany Snow herself has previously spoken about this memorable first kiss. In 2018, she told HuffPost that the experience felt "quite strange" due to its public, televised nature. She acknowledged Wesley's kindness during the scene and recalled their playful, sibling-like dynamic, noting that Wesley had a crush on Mandy Moore at the time.
