Pattinson and Lawrence Warn Fans: New Film Is Not "Fanfic"
6 Nov
Summary
- Pattinson and Lawrence star in new film "Die My Love"
- Lawrence cautions fans it's not a "Katniss and Edward" crossover
- Film is described as a "poetic work of art", not a fan fiction

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon pointed out that "all the internet's going crazy" over the news that Pattinson and Lawrence are starring in a new movie together. The two actors, who rose to fame playing the brooding vampire Edward Cullen and fierce heroine Katniss Everdeen, are now collaborating on a completely separate project.
Lawrence is quick to remind fans that this new film, titled "Die My Love," is not a crossover of their iconic characters. "It's like a very idiosyncratic, like poetic, work of art," she explained, warning that those expecting a "Katniss and Edward fanfic" will be "really disappointed." The actress is concerned that the film's release on November 7th will lead to backlash if viewers go in with the wrong expectations.
Despite the potential for confusion, Lawrence has praised her co-star Pattinson, saying she was "delightfully relieved" to find him "very laid back, very sweet, funny." The two actors, who had never met before filming, clearly developed a strong rapport on set, with Lawrence noting they could "sit in silence together" without it being awkward.
