Patrick Dempsey, celebrated for his portrayal of Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy, has taken on a dramatically different role in the new Fox thriller, Memory of a Killer. He stars as Angelo Doyle, a seemingly ordinary suburban father who secretly works as a paid assassin.
The series delves into the dual life of Angelo, whose identities begin to blur as he experiences memory loss due to early-onset Alzheimer's disease, a condition with a family history.
Memory of a Killer premiered on January 25 with a two-night event, rolling out new episodes on January 25 and 26. The show is an adaptation of the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer.
Season one of Memory of a Killer comprises 10 episodes. Dempsey agreed to the series after creators committed to a relatively short first installment, mindful of demanding TV schedules.
Following its premiere, new episodes of Memory of a Killer are broadcast on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. The series is also available for streaming the following day on Hulu. The ensemble cast includes Michael Imperioli and Gina Torres.
