- An awkward interview concluded with the anchor asking for help to transition.
An interview between Parker Posey and Craig Melvin on the Today show took an unexpected turn, marked by two distinct awkward moments. The initial awkwardness arose when Posey misheard Melvin, believing he had called her a "whore" instead of discussing "horror" films.
Melvin quickly clarified his words, but the interview became more uncomfortable when he mentioned Posey's supposed role in the upcoming Blumhouse horror film 'Sleepover.' Posey then revealed that she was no longer attached to the project, contradicting information Melvin had seen on his cue cards.
The situation led to a visibly awkward exchange, with Posey even using a cue card to fan herself. Melvin eventually requested co-host Carson Daly to help transition to the next segment, highlighting the discomfort of the moment.
