Paresh Rawal Seeks Creative Freedom for Iconic 'Hera Pheri' Character Baburao

In November 2025, veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal reflects on his iconic role as Baburao in the 'Hera Pheri' franchise, which has remained his most popular character to date. Rawal, who recently announced his return to the third installment of the comedy series, believes the character has tremendous scope but is not being explored enough.

Elaborating on his earlier remarks about feeling confined by the success of Baburao, Rawal explains that he is often urged to "keep churning out the same thing" to please the audience. However, the actor argues that successful characters like Baburao should be taken in new directions, rather than being stagnant. Rawal reveals that he has been offered numerous roles inspired by Baburao over the years, but has deliberately turned them down to avoid playing a caricature of the beloved character.

Despite his reservations, Rawal is set to don the iconic glasses and dhoti once again in 'Hera Pheri 3', which is slated to go on floors early next year.
