Paramount Taps Dungeons & Dragons Directors for Fresh Star Trek Film

The decision to move away from the Kelvin timeline, which featured the cast of the J.J. Abrams-directed films, is a significant one. Earlier this month, it was reported that Paramount's new leadership wanted to move on from that cast, including Chris Pine and Zoe Saldaña. This new film will introduce a fresh set of characters and a brand-new storyline for the Star Trek universe.
