Previously, Patel served as senior VP of strategy and business development at Universal Entertainment for 11 years. She began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. This move occurs as Paramount restructures its leadership team following its $8 billion merger with Skydance, under CEO David Ellison.
Recent hires include Josh Goldstine (head of marketing), Jennifer Dodge (head of Paramount Animation), Shaun Barber (head of theatrical distribution), and Lia Buman (head of Republic Pictures). The studio has also secured deals with notable talent such as the Duffer brothers, Will Smith, and James Mangold.
