Underground Overground Comedy, a pop-up show producer, announced that the third Paragon Comedy Festival will run from April 30 to May 2. The event will host approximately 1,800 guests across 12 shows spread over three floors of the 117-year-old Paragon Sports store in Union Square. This festival is known for its completely secret lineups, a signature element that has led to two consecutive sell-out years. Founders Ethan Mansoor and David Levine established Underground Overground Comedy during the pandemic to produce shows in unconventional locations.
Expanding beyond traditional stand-up, this year's festival will feature live magic performances and immersive afterparty elements in the store's basement. Tickets for the highly anticipated event will go on sale April 6. The duo has produced nearly 350 shows since their inception, building a significant demand with a 36,000-person waitlist. Their unique pop-up model brings comedy to unexpected venues, from retail shops to iconic institutions.
