Paradise Star Confirms Character's Shocking Off-Screen Death

Nicole Brydon Bloom, an actress from the Hulu series Paradise, has confirmed that her character, Jane, was killed off-screen. The pivotal moment occurred during an episode where Dr. Gabriela Torabi attacked Jane in a shower, leaving her fate ambiguous until now.

Bloom expressed initial surprise at the character's demise, questioning how Torabi, with no prior combat experience, could overpower the skilled Jane. However, she came to understand the plausibility, theorizing that a triggering moment related to Jane's past might have left her disoriented and vulnerable.

Paradise, which debuted in January 2025, is set in an underground bunker inhabited by prominent individuals following a global apocalyptic event. The series, created by Dan Fogelman, also features Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nicholson. Sterling K. Brown recently shared his preference for knowing plot details in advance to help shape his character's arc.
