Guillermo del Toro's acclaimed fantasy film, "Pan's Labyrinth," is commemorating its 20th anniversary with several special releases. Insight Editions is publishing two official books: "Pan's Labyrinth: The Complete Screenplay" and "Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth: Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairytale -- 20th Anniversary Edition."
The book "Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairytale," developed in close collaboration with director del Toro, delves into the film's creation. It includes rare concept art, candid on-set photography, and interviews with key figures like del Toro himself, stars Ivana Baquero and Doug Jones, and producers Alfonso Cuarón and Bertha Navarro. A special limited edition of 500 copies, with the first 100 signed by del Toro, will also be offered.
In addition to the books, the film "Pan's Labyrinth" will be re-released in theaters on October 9th. This special screening, presented in 3D and HDR by Barco, offers fans a chance to experience the dark fairytale on the big screen once more. The film originally followed a young girl named Ofelia navigating a fantastical realm in 1944 Francoist Spain.
