Neighbor: Panettiere hospitalized twice before death

A neighbor of Hayden Panettiere has come forward with disturbing accounts of the late actress's final months. The neighbor, Mia Terrazas, claims she witnessed firefighters transporting Panettiere from her West Hollywood apartment on a gurney twice. The first incident occurred in July 2023, with a second in January 2024.

During these alleged events, Terrazas reported that Panettiere appeared to have bruises and red marks, and frequently looked "battered." She expressed concern to Panettiere, who reportedly responded that she was fine. These incidents occurred while Panettiere was in a relationship with Brian Hickerson.

Further compounding the distress, the building's HOA posted a warning in August 2025. This notice advised residents against allowing Hickerson access and instructed them to call the police if he was sighted on the property. Terrazas stated she always perceived Hickerson as dangerous and feared him.

Panettiere and Hickerson's relationship was previously marked by domestic violence allegations. Hickerson pleaded no contest in 2021 to felony charges of injuring a cohabitant, receiving jail time and probation. Panettiere had obtained a five-year protective order, which expired in April. Panettiere died earlier this month at age 36, with authorities investigating her death, including the DEA.
