Pandora Arrives in California!

Disney is expanding its beloved Avatar universe with a new, massive theme park area called Pandora set to open at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California. Initial speculation about the project's cancellation has been definitively put to rest following a recent D23 presentation where Disney Imagineering unveiled the first official imagery of the expansive new land. This California iteration of Pandora is described as immense, notably dwarfing the Disney Monorail, and is expected to significantly overflow the park's boundaries.

The centerpiece of this new attraction will be a large-scale boat ride, offering guests a unique way to experience the world of Pandora. While these details were shared at D23, further specifics are anticipated during the Disney Parks panel. Although this new expansion is substantial, it is noted to be smaller in scale compared to the original Pandora – The World of Avatar located at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, which remains approximately three to four times larger. This development means visitors will soon have the opportunity to explore Pandora on both coasts of the United States.
