Singer Palash Sen recently honored the legendary Asha Bhosle with a heartfelt musical tribute. He performed her iconic track "Aao Na, Gale Laga Lo Na," originally from the 1972 film "Mere Jeevan Saathi."
In a touching social media post, Sen referred to Bhosle as "India's true Bharat Ratna," expressing the enduring love fans have for her. He recalled their first meeting, mentioning his shyness and Bhosle's warm invitation to sing. Sen emphasized that her voice would remain with him forever.
Sen explained his lack of photographs with Bhosle, stating one does not ask God for selfies and that he felt he was not good enough to sing with her. He shared that he was content to simply touch her feet, bidding a fond farewell and thanking her for visiting Earth, calling her their "only Rockstar."
Asha Bhosle, who passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai, was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday. Her last rites were scheduled to be held on Monday at 4:00 pm at Shivaji Park.
