- Osbourne family kept his health issues private at the time
- Ozzy was "determined" to perform despite his struggles

In a recent episode of their podcast The Osbournes, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne have disclosed that legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne was hospitalized just two weeks before his final Black Sabbath concert on July 5. The family had kept Ozzy's undisclosed health issues private at the time, with Sharon praising the hospital staff and security team for their discretion.
According to the Osbournes, Ozzy was "determined" to perform at the last Black Sabbath show despite his struggles, and the family did not force him to take the stage. "He was running the show. He said he knew exactly what he wanted. He was determined to do it," Jack Osbourne explained.
Sadly, Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. His cause of death was determined to be a heart attack, with Parkinson's disease also listed as a contributing factor. Just three weeks before his death, Ozzy had reunited with the original Black Sabbath lineup for his final concert performance.
