Ozzy Osbourne's Memoir Reveals Tragic Addiction Struggles of Matthew Perry

In his posthumous memoir, "Last Rites," legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July 2022, opened up about his personal connection to the late actor Matthew Perry. Osbourne revealed that Perry used to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at his house, though the rocker didn't always remember him.

Osbourne described Perry as "the funniest, most talented bloke" who was "trying so hard to stay on the right path." Tragically, Perry's addiction ultimately proved too strong, and he died in October 2023 at the age of 54 from a ketamine overdose. Osbourne expressed his sadness over Perry's death, writing, "He'd given everything he had to stay clean. But it wasn't enough."

The rocker also shared his own experience with ketamine, explaining that his wife Sharon had found it helpful in facing her demons. Osbourne tried it as well, but recognized his addictive tendencies and refused to continue using the drug, stating, "I just want to keep doing it until I'm blacked out and dribbling in the corner."

Osbourne's memoir provides a poignant look at the devastating impact of addiction, as well as the importance of seeking help and support, even for those in the public eye.
