The cinematic event, "Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning," is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 28. Directed by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, the film promises an immersive audio-visual experience of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's last concert.
Filmed just 17 days before Osbourne's passing, the event in Birmingham, UK, was a poignant homecoming and farewell. Ozzy performed a solo set and reunited with original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward for the first time in two decades. Sharon Osbourne stated that Ozzy's sole desire was to perform again and bid goodbye to his fans.
The concert, hosted by Jason Momoa, featured performances from numerous acclaimed artists including Disturbed's David Draiman, Halestorm, Travis Barker, Steven Tyler, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, and Alice in Chains. Over 42,000 fans attended the July 5 event at Birmingham's Villa Park, with an additional 3 million viewers tuning in via a paid livestream.
