Sharon Osbourne has announced concrete plans for the return of Ozzfest in 2027, ending the festival's hiatus since 2018. The revived event is slated for a two-day launch at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, the hometown of Ozzy Osbourne. Following the UK dates, Ozzfest will make its way to America, with Sharon Osbourne actively seeking input from fans regarding future locations and desired artists.
Osbourne emphasized that the festival's core mission of supporting emerging talent, a vision championed by Ozzy, will continue. She is currently looking for new bands to perform. This commitment to nurturing new artists was a hallmark of Ozzfest's success, creating an incubator for many bands.
While the initial 2027 plan involves four shows, two in the UK and two in North America, the team hopes to expand to a full tour in 2028. Osbourne recalled the festival's early days as a unique "summer camp" atmosphere, contrasting it with other more rigid festivals.
No lineups have been announced, but Rob Halford of Judas Priest expressed his regret at missing Ozzy's final performance in July 2025 due to a prior commitment. Ozzy Osbourne passed away at age 76 on July 22, 2025, shortly after his final concert.
