19 Apr
Summary
- Ten children honored with commissioned songs at Oxford hospice.
- Bereaved families collaborated with musicians on the project.
- Album released and available for download, proceeds to hospice.

A unique project at Helen and Douglas House in Oxford has seen ten children honored through a collection of commissioned songs. The Keepsake Circle project involved bereaved families collaborating closely with musicians to create deeply personal musical tributes. These songs celebrate the lives of children, including 14-year-old Finley Middleton, who died in 2023.
Michaela Middleton, Finley's mother, described the musical remembrance as astonishing, sharing how the hospice has been a lifeline for her family. She recalled Finley as a "large character in a small body" with a persistent smile despite his medical needs. The songs were written and produced by Kiki Deville, Angus Powell, and Gregor Gergő Petri.
The album was released in April at a special event for the families and is now available on major music streaming platforms. All funds raised from the downloads will be donated to Helen and Douglas House, a hospice that continues to support families after their loss.
