Time Traveler's Plot to Alter War Unraveled

Lord John Grey was recently kidnapped by Captain Richardson, a time traveler intent on altering the course of the American Revolution. Richardson's scheme involved using compromising documents to force John's brother, Hal, to change a crucial speech to the House of Lords, thereby influencing the war's outcome. John's son, William, discovered the plot after receiving a message via a family ring, prompting a rescue effort with Jamie and Claire.

During the rescue, Claire confronted Richardson, who revealed his ancestor was a slave and he believed an American loss would prevent the Civil War. He mistakenly believed Claire was there to help him achieve this. Claire, aware of future events from historical records, ultimately thwarted Richardson's plans. John was saved and Richardson was killed by John.
