Starting in 2029, the Academy Awards will undergo a major shift. The ceremonies will move to the Peacock Theatre and will be broadcast on YouTube for a decade. This change coincides with ABC expanding its major event lineup, including broadcasting the Grammy Awards and Super Bowl LXI in February 2027.
The Academy has also outlined key dates for the 2026-2027 awards season. The eligibility period commences on January 1, 2026, and concludes on December 31, 2026.
