Oscar Isaac Reveals Agony of 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Role

Oscar Isaac recently recounted his challenging experience portraying the villain in the 2016 film "X-Men: Apocalypse." He revealed on "Hot Ones" that the role was "excruciating," primarily because he was encased in a 40-pound suit made of glue and latex. This restrictive costume required a constant cooling mechanism and prevented him from moving his head, leading to him spending time in a special cooling tent between takes.

Despite the arduous production, Isaac expressed that he does not disown the film and looks back on the period with fondness. He explained that he initially accepted the role to work with esteemed actors like Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, and because he admired the character of Apocalypse. However, he also admitted a wish for the movie to have been better and for his character to have been handled with more care.
