While romantic and intimate scenes remained uncut, certain violent visuals were reduced. Close-up shots of throat cutting, bloodshed, and a woman slapping visual were decreased by 20%.
Anti-smoking and anti-tobacco disclaimers with voiceovers were added, increasing the film's runtime by 1 minute and 57 seconds. The final length of O'Romeo is 178.41 minutes, making it the lengthiest film for both Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is scheduled for release on February 13.
