- Incident occurred in September, but Hartnett has since returned to filming

In late September, acclaimed actor Josh Hartnett was involved in a car accident in Newfoundland, Canada. Hartnett, who is currently filming a limited series in the region, was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with a police car in the early hours of the morning on September 25th.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue in the city of St. John's. Both Hartnett and the 59-year-old driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The police officer involved was also sent for medical checkups as a precaution.
Fortunately, Hartnett was released from the hospital shortly after and has since resumed filming his current project, which he has been working on in Newfoundland since August. The 47-year-old actor is also known to be collaborating with Anne Hathaway on the upcoming adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel 'Verity,' set to release in October 2026.
Despite the unexpected collision, Hartnett appears to have recovered well and is continuing his work in the entertainment industry. The car accident, while concerning, has not derailed the actor's busy schedule or his involvement in several high-profile productions.
