Issy Knowles's one-woman play, 'Body Count,' a former winner at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, is set to premiere off-Broadway at New York's SoHo Playhouse. The production is part of the venue's 2026 International Fringe Encore Series and will run from March 3 to March 29, 2026.
Directed by Alice Wordsworth, 'Body Count' immerses audiences in the online world occupied by creators such as Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips. These figures have gained notoriety for engaging in sexual encounters with vast numbers of men daily.
Knowles, who also penned the script, performs as Pollie, a fictional OnlyFans model. Pollie, disillusioned with a Catholic upbringing and a stalled consulting career, seeks rapid financial gain by planning to sleep with one thousand subscribers. The play's title, 'Body Count,' references a term used by some adult content creators to tally their sexual partners.
During its run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 'Body Count' received the Sit-Up Award and a nomination for the Popcorn Award, marking its critical success in the UK.
