"Only Murders in the Building" Star Praises Show's Warm, Collaborative Set

According to Toheeb Jimoh, who recently joined the cast of the hit Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building" for its fifth season, the show's set has been one of the most welcoming and collaborative he has ever experienced in his career. Jimoh, who plays the role of N.Y.C. Mayor Beau Tillman, shared his positive sentiments about the cast and crew during the Play Dirty world premiere in New York City on September 24th.

The actor was particularly impressed by the on-screen dynamic between comedy legends Martin Short and Steve Martin, who play Oliver Putnam and Charles Haden-Savage respectively. Jimoh noted that the two actors' real-life rapport is seamlessly translated to their characters, making their interactions a delight to watch on set.

Furthermore, Jimoh expressed his enjoyment in observing Selena Gomez, who portrays Mabel Mora, interacting with the veteran comedians. Despite the significant age gap, Jimoh found the trio's exchanges to be "quite delightful," with Gomez often being the "oldest person in the room."

While Jimoh remained tight-lipped about the upcoming plot developments in season 5, he did tease that his character, Mayor Tillman, will be involved in some "fun stretching of the artistic muscles" as the season progresses.
