One Piece Live-Action Series Sails into Season 2 on Netflix

In the world of One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the beloved anime series is set to return to Netflix for a second season. As of October 10th, 2025, the Straw Hat Pirates, led by Monkey D. Luffy, are preparing to embark on a new adventure.

The first season of the live-action One Piece series premiered on Netflix in August 2023, introducing viewers to Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar) as they set out on a quest for the mythical treasure known as "One Piece." The season finale saw Luffy's grandfather, Monkey D. Garp (Vincent Regan), face off against the Straw Hats before ultimately letting them continue on their journey.

Now, in the upcoming second season, the crew will be venturing into the treacherous Grand Line, where "danger and wonder await at every turn." They will encounter "bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies" as they search for the world's greatest treasure. The season will also feature the debut of Tony Tony Chopper, the crew's doctor, played by Mikaela Hoover, as well as the return of the elderly Dr. Kureha, portrayed by Katey Sagal.

According to the co-showrunner, Matt Owens, the second season will cover several key story arcs from the original manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Island, and Drum Island. Fans can expect the Straw Hats to face "fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet" as they continue their journey.
