Universal Studios Hollywood is currently hosting "Fan Fest Nights," a special event that heavily features the popular anime and manga series One Piece. A major highlight is the "Grand Pirate Show," an original stage production performed at the WaterWorld venue on select nights between April 23 and May 16. This show draws inspiration from Universal Studios Japan's extensive experience producing One Piece stage adaptations since 2007.
The "Grand Pirate Show" immerses audiences in the world of the Straw Hat Crew as they embark on a quest for "Pop Greens." The approximately 20-minute performance is designed to be accessible to both longtime fans and newcomers. It leverages the WaterWorld venue's capabilities, including stunts, fight choreography, special effects, watercraft, and pyrotechnics, to create an action-packed experience that extends to the audience.
Beyond the stage show, "Fan Fest Nights" includes "Grand Pirate Gathering" for character meet-and-greets with the Straw Hat Crew and specially themed food and beverage offerings. These elements, along with detailed costumes and music, aim to create an authentic and engaging environment that captures the essence of the One Piece brand for attendees.
