TikTok Star Olivia Ponton Launches Book-Focused Podcast

On October 27, 2025, Olivia Ponton, the 23-year-old social media star, launched a new podcast called "Book and Busy" to share her passion for literature with her followers. Ponton, who has nearly 11 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, has long been vocal about her love of books, often documenting her monthly reads and creating makeup looks inspired by her favorite page-turners.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of the podcast's launch, Ponton shared insights into her reading habits and literary preferences. She revealed that her favorite author, Colleen Hoover, is the person she would want to write the book of her life, as Ponton is a huge fan of Hoover's romance novels and their signature plot twists. Interestingly, Ponton has already had a cameo in a movie adaptation of one of Hoover's books, "It Ends with Us."

While Ponton's podcast will primarily feature fiction books, she is adamant that the genre deserves more recognition. "Sometimes when you want to sound intelligent, you're like, 'Oh, I'm reading this nonfiction book.' Well, that's great. That's amazing, but there is so much to learn through fiction and through storytelling," Ponton said.
