In a captivating move, Burberry has tapped Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman to lead its newest campaign, "It's Always Burberry Weather: Postcards From London." The campaign, which launched in early October 2025, features Colman in a series of short films directed by John Madden, known for his work on Shakespeare in Love.
Colman takes on the roles of various local Londoners, including a cricket enthusiast, a tour guide, and a chip shop counter clerk, as they encounter first-time visitors to the city. The clips showcase Burberry's signature outerwear, with Colman wearing the Castleford trench coat in beige, while other models like Lucky Blue Smith, Tyson Beckford, and Amelia Gray don Burberry staples like the Snowdon puffer jacket and Chestwood trench coat.
Burberry's chief creative officer, Daniel Lee, explains that the campaign "celebrates just a few of the many characters you'll encounter in London," highlighting the brand's deep connection to the city. The campaign will be complemented by a series of themed pop-ups in China, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, designed to evoke the aesthetic of British railways and pay homage to the brand's founder, Thomas Burberry.
