Singer-songwriter Oliver Tree's team has announced the establishment of a foundation in his memory, honoring his final wish. The foundation, named "Dr. Oliver Tree's Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses," is set to launch soon. This initiative aims to spread more joy, love, and art into the world by supporting aspiring artists.
Tree tragically passed away on June 14 in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, while on his latest world tour. His body was returned to his home in California, where his legacy will continue through the foundation. The team shared that this endowment was a desire expressed in his will before his untimely death.
Before his passing, Tree had openly discussed his intention to financially aid emerging artists. He mentioned in an April interview that his entire estate would be dedicated to supporting artists after his death, beyond covering his children's college education. The world tour was in support of his recent album, "Love You Madly Hate You Badly."
