Proud Father Oliver Hudson Emotional as Son Wilder, 18, Makes Acting Debut

In October 2025, acclaimed actor Oliver Hudson is celebrating a special milestone - his 18-year-old son, Wilder Hudson, is set to make his official acting debut. Wilder will be starring in the upcoming film 'A Merry Little Ex-Mas,' marking his first major role in front of the camera.

Oliver, who is a father of three, revealed that he was present on set during the filming, particularly for the emotional scene where Wilder's character, Gabriel, delivers a heartfelt speech. The 49-year-old actor shared that he was overcome with pride and emotion watching his son perform for the first time. "I, for the first time, just started crying. Because I couldn't believe that this was my son, I stepped out of myself a little bit, and I'm like, 'This is my son who is doing great and who has never done this before. He's just going headfirst into the fire, and he's in my world now, and I'm just so proud of him,'" Oliver said.
