Prime Video's adaptation of Elle Kennedy's hockey romance novels, "Off Campus," has taken a surprising turn by altering a key character's identity. In a shocking season finale reveal, "Carter St. James V" was exposed as Hunter Davenport.
This character, who had a brief encounter with Allie, is actually a formidable hockey player and a significant rival to Dean. This twist is a departure from the original book, "The Deal," where Hunter has a minor role.
Co-showrunner Louisa Levy explained this creative decision aims to explore the broader Elle Kennedy universe. By introducing characters with future storylines from the "Briar U" spin-off series, the show intends to feature unexpected appearances from beloved characters.
