Summary
- The Odyssey's $1M daily collection streak ended after 62 days.
- Resident Evil's screen takeover impacted The Odyssey's earnings.
- The film's North American gross reached $604.85 million.
Christopher Nolan's epic film "The Odyssey" has concluded its remarkable 62-day streak of earning over $1 million daily at the North American box office. On its 63rd day, the film's collections dropped to $798.5K, placing it below the $1 million threshold.
This shift in daily earnings is partly due to "Resident Evil" occupying numerous IMAX screens, which had previously been a significant draw for "The Odyssey." The film's impressive run now ranks as the 5th-longest streak of daily million-dollar collections in North America.
Despite the streak's end, "The Odyssey" has achieved a substantial domestic gross of $604.85 million. Projections indicate a lifetime collection between $625 million and $635 million, with a potential to reach $650 million depending on future box office performance.
