Odessa A'zion, known for "I Love LA" and "Marty Supreme," has been cast in the upcoming A24 film "Deep Cuts." Sean Durkin is writing and directing the adaptation of Holly Brickley's novel.
A'zion will star alongside Cailee Spaeny and Drew Starkey. Production for the film, set in the 2000s, is scheduled to commence in February. The movie promises a love story centered on two music-obsessed twenty-somethings. It will explore their journeys through ambition, belonging, and adulthood over a defining decade.
Original music for "Deep Cuts" will be created by Grammy-winning artist Blake Mills. The project is being produced by Eli Bush, Ronald Bronstein, and Josh Safdie through their Central Pictures banner, alongside Durkin, Anthony Katagas, Jordan Tappis, and A24. Brickley will serve as an executive producer.
