Oasis Guitarist Arthurs Takes Break for Cancer Treatment

According to a statement shared on Instagram, Oasis guitarist Noel Arthurs has been responding "really well to treatment" for his recent cancer diagnosis, allowing him to participate in the initial leg of the band's reunion tour. However, Arthurs now needs to take a planned break to continue his care, and will be missing the upcoming shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Arthurs expressed his disappointment at missing these performances, but reassured fans that he is "feeling good" and will be "back ready to go" in time for the South American leg of the tour, which is set to kick off on November 15th in Buenos Aires, Argentina and wrap up on November 23rd in São Paulo, Brazil.

Oasis shared Arthurs' statement on their own Instagram Stories, wishing him the best with his treatment and noting that they'll see him back on stage with the band in South America. The band did not provide any details on who will be filling in for Arthurs during the upcoming shows he will miss.

This is not the first time Arthurs has faced a cancer scare. Earlier this year, he had to step away from a run of shows with Liam Gallagher after being diagnosed with tonsillar cancer, though he later revealed that his treatment had been successful and the cancer was "all clear."

The Oasis reunion tour recently wrapped up the UK leg with two final shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The band is now set to continue their global tour, with the upcoming concerts in Asia and Australia before heading to South America, where Arthurs is expected to rejoin the group.
