Gallagher Brothers Dodge Venice Press Conference

Liam and Noel Gallagher were notably absent from the press conference for their upcoming documentary, "Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger," held on Saturday at the Venice Film Festival. The brothers, who reunited last year after a 15-year feud, were present for the film's photocall following their arrival by boat but departed before the Q&A session.

Co-director Will Lovelace acknowledged their presence for the photos but offered no further details on their absence. This documentary captures the band's reunion, including backstage and onstage footage, and marks the brothers' first joint interview in two decades.

"Don't Look Back in Anger" is set for a theatrical release on September 11, with a subsequent debut on Disney+ later this year. The film utilized hidden cameras in their rehearsal space to capture candid moments of the reunion, aiming for an unmediated feel.

Directors Southern and Lovelace emphasized that the documentary would not focus on emotional introspection, stating, "It's the Gallaghers, it's not 'Dawson's Creek.'" The brothers may also be avoiding questions about potential new tours, fueled by recent cryptic social media posts and Noel Gallagher's hints about future plans.
