This initiative aims to dispel the notion that New York is prohibitively expensive or difficult to shoot in. "We're cutting the red tape and making it the easiest place to film in the country," stated Rafael Espinal, commissioner of the media and entertainment office. Celebrities like Amy Schumer emphasize that tax breaks now make filming in New York more accessible than ever.

Iconic directors such as Spike Lee and Darren Aronofsky, along with actors like John Krasinski and Natasha Lyonne, lend their voices to the campaign. Lee noted a shift from filming in Toronto back to New York, emphasizing the authentic New York atmosphere that cannot be replicated. Lyonne described the unique magic of a New York night shoot, referencing classic films made in the city.

Krasinski and Lee both attested to the positive experience of working with city agencies, highlighting a collaborative understanding of the value of filming in New York. They assured that support is available for all projects, from student films to large-scale productions, making the city a supportive environment for creative endeavors.
