NY Film Fest Unveils Diverse, Award-Winning Slate

The New York Film Festival has unveiled its main slate for 2026, comprising 32 films that will run from September 25 to October 12. This lineup prominently includes several award-winning titles from the Cannes Film Festival, such as 'Minotaur,' 'Fatherland,' and 'All of a Sudden,' alongside other notable entries like 'Clarissa' and 'The Man I Love.'
The festival will host three world premieres, including Mani Haghighi's documentary 'I Deserve a Lover Whose Every Rise Sets Fiery Dooms Raging Across the Skies.' Additionally, seven North American premieres and thirteen U.S. premieres will be showcased, offering audiences a first look at anticipated works.
"It's hard to recall a prior Main Slate program in which the state of the world has been as urgently reflected in so many creative ways," stated NY Film Festival artistic director Dennis Lim. The festival aims to present works by directors inspired by shared global realities, with films exploring themes from political corruption in Russia to queer lives during the AIDS crisis in New York.
