Northern Traces, originally titled Alertes: Pelletier in Quebec, follows Sergeant Guillaume Pelletier of Montreal as he investigates a murder in a rural, snow-covered town. He partners with a local officer, Évelyne, to uncover dark secrets, facing a race against time.
This six-part drama hails from Quebec-based Pixcom and is described as a prime example of engaging Canadian storytelling, ushering in a new genre of "Quebec Noir." The production team expressed confidence in Beta Film's ability to replicate its Canadian success internationally. Distributors will have the opportunity to view the series during a special screening event in London.
