- The festival has grown from a community project to a recognized event.

Northampton was recently transformed into a "living canvas" for one of Europe's largest street art events. From Saturday, August 29, to Monday, August 31, more than 360 artists converged on the town. They adorned walls and buildings, improving the urban landscape and covering illegal graffiti.
The festival, named Wall Games, was founded by artist James Thompson with the goal of attracting visitors and creating a lasting legacy. Thompson envisioned a street art trail and tour that would continue to draw people to Northampton long after the event concluded.
Now a key fixture in the town's calendar, the festival has expanded significantly. Initially a grassroots community project, it has gained national recognition with support from West Northamptonshire Council and Northampton BID. Thompson highlighted several impressive artworks, including a large piece by Smug One on the old Corn Exchange building.
