Northampton town centre has welcomed a new cultural destination with the opening of the Arts Collective. The four-year redevelopment project has successfully repurposed the old civic building into a dynamic venue.
The Arts Collective now features a state-of-the-art gallery, providing a platform for artistic display. Additionally, it houses 17 dedicated artist studios, fostering a creative environment for local talent. The venue also includes a variety of public and educational spaces, emphasizing its role as a community-focused institution.
Artistic Director and CEO Emer Grant highlighted the hub's inclusive design. She stated that the space is intended for more than just viewing art; it's a place where people can work, learn, interact, and collaborate. This approach aims to build a strong sense of community through shared creative experiences.
